CSV Import

CSV import is the process of uploading a CSV (comma-separated values) file to bring data into Peasy in bulk. In Peasy, CSV imports go through column mapping and staging review before creating records.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Upload a CSV file from the import page
  • Map CSV columns to Peasy fields (item name, vendor, cost, etc.)
  • Peasy processes the file and puts records into staging for review
  • Review the staged records, fix any issues, and approve them
  • Approved records are created as items, vendors, customers, or other entities
  • Download CSV templates to ensure your file format is correct

Why It Matters

CSV import is the fastest way to load large amounts of data into Peasy. Whether you're migrating from another system, loading vendor price lists, or adding new products in bulk, CSV import handles it without manual data entry.
