On-Hand Quantity

On-hand quantity is the total number of units of an item physically present at a location. In Peasy, on-hand quantity reflects what you actually have in stock right now, regardless of whether some of it is promised to customers.

How It Works in Peasy

  • View on-hand quantity on the Inventory page for every item and location
  • On-hand increases when you receive a purchase order or make an inventory adjustment
  • On-hand decreases when you fulfill a sales order or make a negative adjustment
  • On-hand is tracked per location — each location has its own count
  • Inventory counts let you reconcile on-hand quantity with a physical count

Why It Matters

On-hand quantity is the foundation of all inventory calculations. Available quantity is derived from on-hand by subtracting committed stock. Accurate on-hand numbers ensure your purchasing decisions and sales promises are based on reality.
