Inventory Count
An inventory count is the process of physically counting your stock and reconciling it with what Peasy shows. In Peasy, inventory counts let you verify on-hand quantities and create adjustments for any discrepancies.
How It Works in Peasy
- Start a count from Inventory > Count for a specific location
- Select which items to count — all items at a location or a filtered subset
- Enter your physical counts, and Peasy calculates the variance from the expected on-hand
- Review variances and approve the count to create automatic inventory adjustments
- Count history is preserved for audit purposes
Why It Matters
Physical counts are the only way to ensure your system quantities match reality. Shrinkage, spoilage, receiving errors, and miscounts all cause drift over time. Regular counting keeps your inventory data trustworthy and your purchasing decisions sound.
