Work Order

A work order is a document that instructs your production team to manufacture a specific quantity of a product. In Peasy, work orders consume ingredient inventory and produce finished goods based on a recipe or template.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Create work orders from Make > Work Orders
  • Each work order is based on a production template (recipe) and specifies the quantity to produce
  • Work orders list the ingredients needed and their quantities
  • When completed, the work order deducts ingredient inventory and adds finished product inventory
  • Work orders move through statuses: Draft → Planned → In Progress → Complete (or Cancelled)

Why It Matters

Work orders are how production connects to inventory. They ensure the right ingredients are consumed and the right finished goods are created, keeping your inventory accurate through the manufacturing process.
