Custom Field

A custom field is a user-defined data field that you add to items, customers, sales orders, categories, or receiving records. In Peasy, custom fields let you track information that isn't covered by the standard built-in fields.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Create custom fields from Configure > Custom Fields
  • Choose the field type (text, number, select, date, true/false, or signature) and which record type it applies to
  • Custom fields appear on the record's detail page and can be filled in when creating or editing
  • Filter and search by custom field values in lists and reports
  • Custom fields are visible to all users on the entity

Why It Matters

Every business tracks different things. Custom fields let you extend Peasy to fit your specific needs — whether it's allergen codes on food items, shelf life on ingredients, or account numbers on vendors — without waiting for a built-in feature.
