Sales Order

A sales order (SO) is a document that records a customer's request to purchase goods from you. In Peasy, sales orders track what was ordered, the price, and whether it's been fulfilled and invoiced.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Create sales orders from Sell > Orders
  • Each SO is linked to a customer and a location
  • Add sell items to the order with quantities and prices (pulled from price lists if configured)
  • SOs move through statuses: Draft → Pending → Fulfilled (or Cancelled)
  • Fulfilling a sales order deducts inventory and can generate an invoice
  • SO quantities reduce available quantity even before fulfillment (committed stock)

Why It Matters

Sales orders are the core of your selling workflow. They connect customer demand to inventory (committing stock), fulfillment (shipping goods), and invoicing (collecting payment). They're also what drives available quantity calculations.
