Sell Item

A sell item is a child item that represents a specific way you sell a product to customers. In Peasy, sell items define the selling unit, price, and how that unit converts back to inventory.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Sell items are created under a parent item
  • Each sell item has a selling unit (e.g., "12 oz Bag") and a default price
  • A parent item can have multiple sell items — different sizes, pack configurations, or units
  • Sell items appear when building sales orders and on catalogs
  • The unit conversion on the sell item maps the selling unit to the parent's inventory unit

Why It Matters

Sell items let you offer the same product in multiple formats. You might sell coffee as a 12 oz bag, a 5 lb bag, or a case of 12 bags — each is a separate sell item under the same parent, with its own price and unit conversion.
