Connecting QuickBooks
Peasy integrates with QuickBooks Online to keep your accounting records in sync. Once connected, you can sync customers, vendors, and invoices between the two systems.
How to Get There
Click Configure (gear icon) in the sidebar, then select Integrations > QuickBooks.
How to Connect
- Click Configure (gear icon) in the sidebar, then select Integrations > QuickBooks.
- Click Connect QuickBooks.
- You'll be redirected to QuickBooks to sign in and authorize the connection.
- After authorizing, you'll be sent back to Peasy.
- The Setup Wizard starts automatically to help you configure the sync.
The Setup Wizard
After connecting, a wizard walks you through three steps:
1. Customer Sync
Choose how to sync customers between Peasy and QuickBooks:
- QuickBooks to Peasy — Pull customers from QuickBooks into Peasy
- Peasy to QuickBooks — Push Peasy customers to QuickBooks
- Both directions — Keep them in sync both ways
You can also do an initial bulk sync to bring over existing records.
2. Vendor Sync
Same as customers — choose a sync direction and optionally do a bulk sync of your vendors.
3. Account Mapping
Map your Peasy categories to QuickBooks chart of accounts. This tells QuickBooks which account to use when syncing items and invoices for each category.

What data syncs with QuickBooks? Peasy can sync customers, vendors, invoices, items, and other accounting data depending on your QuickBooks settings. During setup, you map Peasy categories to your QuickBooks accounts so synced activity lands in the right place.
How often does QuickBooks sync? Once connected, QuickBooks sync can run automatically for supported records based on your settings. You can also trigger manual syncs when needed from the integration pages.
Can I disconnect QuickBooks without losing data? Yes. Disconnecting stops the sync, but all data already in both Peasy and QuickBooks remains. You can reconnect and re-authorize at any time.
Do I need to set up my chart of accounts before connecting? It helps. During the setup wizard, Peasy asks you to map accounts (like revenue, COGS, and inventory) to your existing QuickBooks accounts. Having your chart of accounts organized beforehand makes this step faster.
Good to Know
