Unit Conversion

A unit conversion defines how a buy item or sell item's unit relates to the parent item's inventory unit. In Peasy, unit conversions let you buy in bulk units and sell in smaller units while keeping inventory in a single base unit.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Set conversions when creating buy items or sell items
  • Example: if the inventory unit is "lb" and you buy in "50 lb Bags", the conversion is 1 bag = 50 lb
  • Conversions are used automatically when receiving POs, fulfilling SOs, and running production
  • Edit conversions from the item's detail page under buy items or sell items
  • Fractional conversions are supported (e.g., 1 case = 24.5 units)

Why It Matters

Unit conversions are the bridge between how you buy, how you sell, and how you count. Without them, you'd have to manually calculate how many pounds are in 10 cases every time you receive an order. Peasy does this math for you.
