Inventory

Track stock levels across locations, manage items and units, count inventory, handle transfers, and monitor reorder points.

Inventory Overview
Peasy keeps track of everything you have in stock — how much, where it is, and when it changed. The Inventory section in the sidebar is where you go to count stock, review history, and move items between locations.
Understanding Items and Units
Every product in Peasy is an "item." Items can have different units for buying, selling, and tracking inventory. Peasy handles the conversion math so your numbers always stay accurate.
Counting Inventory
The Count page is where you do physical inventory counts. That includes your first count to establish starting inventory, plus the recurring counts you do over time to keep inventory accurate.
Inventory History
The History page shows a complete log of every inventory change that's happened — receives, sales, manual adjustments, transfers, production, and more. It's your audit trail for answering "what happened to my stock?"
Transferring Inventory
If you have multiple locations, you'll sometimes need to move stock from one place to another. The Transfer page makes this quick and easy — pick what you want to move, say how much, and you're done.
Transfer Orders
Transfer Orders are the formal version of inventory transfers. While quick transfers (on the Transfer page) just move stock, Transfer Orders let you track the shipment — with a transfer number, shipping carrier, tracking info, and status updates.
Understanding Availability
Peasy tracks more than just what's on the shelf. It also knows what's committed to orders, what's in transit, and what's being used in production. This helps you understand what's truly available.
Understanding Item Types
Every item in Peasy fits into a simple structure: one parent item with one or more variants for buying and selling. Understanding how these pieces connect helps you set up your items correctly — and explains why certain items show up (or don't) in different parts of the app.
Editing Units and Conversions
After you create an item, you might need to update a unit name, change a conversion factor, or add a new size. Here's how to make those changes — and one important thing to watch out for.
Working with Fractional Quantities
Peasy supports decimal quantities everywhere — [inventory counts](/help/inventory-count), [purchase orders](/help/purchase-order), [sales orders](/help/sales-order), [work orders](/help/work-order), and transfers. If your business deals with partial cases, bulk [ingredients](/help/ingredient), or anything measured by weight, you can enter exactly what you have.
Adjusting Inventory
An inventory adjustment is when you change your stock count outside of the normal workflows like receiving a [purchase order](/help/purchase-order), completing a sale, or finishing a [work order](/help/work-order). It's a quick way to correct a discrepancy or account for something unexpected — like damaged product, missing stock, or items you're setting up for the first time.
Set Your Count Badge Threshold
Inventory numbers drift over time — items get used, miscounted, or moved without being logged. The count badge threshold tells Peasy how many days can pass before an item should be recounted. Items that haven't been counted within that window get flagged so you know what needs attention.
